The end of the second Elizabethan era. RIP Queen Elizabeth II. Born into privilege, but the duty expected of the monarch is not necessarily an easy life. 70 years of hard work for the country, still working in her mid-90s. An outstanding woman. Thank you, ma’am, may you rest in peace.

I’m no royalist or anti-royalist so her death not directly affecting me really but she done so much for the country and well respected everywhere. Her dedication and devotion was 2nd to none.
Sad that she’s gone and we’ll see so much change. Will be weird to see big ears on the stamps and money. Assuming they’ll be bigger to fit the ears on.

No doubt there'll soon be hundreds of unscrupulous bastards with scams designed to relieve you of bank notes.

My daughter lives near Windsor and took a walk to the castle to lay flowers this morning. There were thousands of tributes.

It will be so strange now. The only monarch I, and I would imagine almost all of us, have ever known.
