Half Marathon

Post by Taansend »

I'm doing a half marathon this Sunday.

I haven't trained at all. Been too hot & humid here this summer to train outside. I was going to the gym but then had five mates out from Woking in September so was on the serious piss up with them & have continued the bender on my own for the last four weeks.

I did do a 5km last weekend in 28:40 but the half marathon is like running four of them back to back & then tossing in a mile at the end.

I am the fattest & least fit I have been in years

On the plus side it's up in Apalachicola which is 300 miles north of me & the only part of the Florida coast that I haven't driven around.

I'll also be visiting St Georges Island & Cape San Blas which I'm well excited about.

Be careful Taans otherwise you'll be paying a visit to the hospital.

Bizarrely the toenail on my middle toe of my left foot has fallen off. Very painful.

I also got hammered last night. It's 7am and I'm about to drive 300 miles.
