Not a bad run out and the fans made a lot of noise.

Diop, Johnson, Lanzini Wilshere & Masuaku were major positives.

Haller was very bright with his first touch but players need to get closer to him.

Same starting 11 i predicted a couple of weeks back. Jack sitting near Rice , then Fornals, Lanzini, Haller and Anderson.
Once they starting gelling !! Boom!!!

The midfield 5 worked as i expected. Jack staying close to Rice when Fornals and Lanzini pushed on with Anderson and Haller making runs from wide . When Lanzini dropped off Jack got farther up.
Fornals, Jack and Lanzini are going to be so important to us this season. I love the balance and their ages but they will need to work as a unit . With Rice sitting as last line of protection he plays the same role he did for England against Croatia.
Fornals has energy and pace and is always looking for a positive option. Jack also likes to make things happen and Lanzini can glide past a player and open the game up. I am really excited this season because this trio can only get better and better provided they stay injury free for a decent period of the season.
We now have a deadly striker and 3 players behind in Anderson, Lanzini and Fornals who can all score goals.
