If he did then fair enough, but put someone on to trouble the Italy defence. Easy for me to say, but Nothing ventured nothing, so should have gone for it.
Surely rather lose in the 90 giving it a go than to go out on penalties.

I am sure his off to Mykonos on Wednesday with a few of the other lads from the squad.
Must be confirmed by now why he came off. Personally I thought he was bossing it. Wouldn't be surprised if an Italian team came for him after that performance.

I thought that and was going to post to say the same. The art of the defensive midfielder is revered in Italy and in all honesty Rice would walk in to any of the big Italian sides starting XI's. Only problem is most Italian teams aren't in a strong enough financial position to sign him. He'd smash it in the Italian league though.
