Whatever the outcome of the offside....in the end the goal was gifted to them by Frederick's...the only 3 unmarked United players on the park .,he gifted a header right in the middle of them...when there were many safer options
I think we are entitled to ask why, at least on the face of it, Moyes doesn’t appear to trust young players. He has been very reluctant to give young squad players pitch time, preferring to use more experienced options. Today’s use of Fredericks over Johnson being a case in point.

Watching him stretch for it, there was no way he was directing the thing. What he coulda done afterwards though was carry on running instead of slide in for the challenge. And Cresswell lost rashford at the back post looking for the offside

And if we’re playing the blame game, which the coaches should to try and ensure it doesn’t happen again, let’s not forget how Bowen lost the ball very easily in the first place.

Yeah true that. But it’s also a bit more acceptable your attackers losing the ball that far up the pitch as the team should be drilled well enough to know what to do when such things arise don’t ya think?
Summer 2025 we can expect our first permanent signing of a striker. Moyes stated in one on his interviews, can't remember if it was post or pre match, that there were plenty of options to buy in the summer but very few this January.
It's funny really, cause I felt there have been a number this January window compared to others in the same period.
Not putting it down as a reason for this loss , maybe for some recent ones, but whilst he's waiting for Jesus the Devil is having his fill
And whilst I'm here, why the fuck did he bring Fredrick's on when Johnson was available? I am not going to blame him for the goal, but it was a nice headed pass. I prefer Johnson as a player., and a bit more solid at the back.

I agree. But Bowen can't be totally excused. It was a very poor piece of control, and it's quite likely it wouldn't have happened in the first minute rather than the last as the poor sod was probably knackered after putting in a decent shift despite not having his best game. Bowen's loss of the ball was more excusable than Fredericks' schoolboy error.
