West Ham confident of £10.3m Areola deal
West Ham are confident of completing a £10.3m deal for Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Alphonse Areola, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Areola was on loan at the London Stadium last season, where he made 17 appearances.

West Ham are finally progressing in talks to sign Alphonse Areola on a permanent deal, agreement now getting closer - positive feelings on player side too. 🇫🇷 #WHUFC

West Ham are increasingly confident as Areola deal will cost around €12m

Hope that will be done in couple of days time plus NO MORE negative talk.

That would make Areola West Ham's most expensive GK wouldn't it. With inflation considered Parkes would have cost about a twelfth of that in today's market. Still good value considering the gap.

Indeed though these days, 10.3m is peanuts and just about buys the players image rights.

It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were spending that sort of money on our record signing, Matt Jarvis.

Matt fucking Jarvis...

Titter ye not. It's true.

Bids are in on Ebay for a new kettle, a nearly new set of training cones, a replacement air filter for the Dyson cleaner, a value pack of band-aids and some soapy mix for the bubble machine.

We're going places !

STOP PRESS

Outbid by £1.35 for the cones. Increased bid to be discussed at board meeting.
