There is a faction, I think a relatively small one although I could be wrong about that, on this forum who are anti Moyes and who would be delighted to see the back of him.

I've been told they have a What's App group and have meetings in obscure rural pubs where they drink foul tasting, warm, beer with weird sounding names and reminisce about the good old days of woollen scarfs, flat caps and wooden rattles.

I suspect it's because he is intensley disliked. I can't imagine another reason
Indeed, just not really sure what he's done to deserve it. The club and team is in better shape than it has been in recent years.
We're not playing well and we look a little slow (to press and attack,) and unfit maybe. The team selected today should beat Notts Forest. That's down to the players too,. not only the management. We have injury probs and going through a little transitional period. No crisis yet.

Took Ferguson , what 3 / 4 seasons b4 he started winning.
Rice goes nxt yr whoever is in charge… I’d stick with moyes and give him full backing until end of season .
The flip side to that coin is,it took DM one season to take the champions from 1st to a 6th place finish - and they booted his arse out, before it even finished
Utd have gone through , what 5/6 managers since fergie and achieved the square root of FA fella. Incl some of the ‘best ‘ in the world

My point is , I agree moyes is not pep and like most managers he has blind spots, but he has for the most part made us difficult to beat and good on the counter, and not fighting relegation .

He seems a good fit for us at our current level. My guess is however, he will be gone if we are outside top 10 come Xmas because that’s the way it works.

That would make him a Cyclops in my book.

Best we just wait for the next big wave to arrive so we can ride it for another couple of seasons. In the meantime it's out hunting for a new board.

Seriously why on earth would Potter leave Brighton where he is building a very good side to come to a club which is, by fairly common consent, badly run at board level and has a fan base a large number of whom seem to have expectations way beyond anything ever achieved.

I am beginning to hope Moyes either walks or gets the elbow because it gets very depressing reading and listening to the same old moans and groans. Let’s get a new manager in so everyone can get behind the team. Until the new manager suffers his first defeat of course.

Bring it on.

I said NEXT season, not this season already started.

The Scots cunt is too predictable and has been most of last season as well, a new manager maybe needed for next season as I do not see him taking us any further, bringing on Cornet with a few minutes to go is an insult to everyone. Graham Potter would be my choice on the basis of what he has done for Brighton and he would probably come here a few years younger and maybe something to prove? To me, Moyes is fast becoming the Scottish version of BFS, buying a giant forward will not help his cause when really pace and finesse is required, sooner or later we will start hoofing to him in times of need, players just cannot help it.

5 wins in last 20 premier league games suggests relegation form.
Not asking for Moyes to be sacked, but something needs to change or it will be a long hard season, especially as our 2 best players seem completely of the boil.
It’s not what you do it is the way that you do it.

Even there goal was so lucky.

Soucek could have easily netted a hat-trick.We hit the bar and bounced off line twice. We missed the penalty also.

The ref was dreadful.

It was one of them days, when lady luck was on their side and not ours.
Yes., we lost because the ref had a shocker. That’s just so Terry.
Always thought yiu were very particular when reading Whiskyman?
I didn't blame the ref for everything?
Let's just say, another ref would have let our goal stand and sent off their play for deliberate handball in the penalty area.
I think they got a lot of luck on the day..Some days we have had that luck.I remember Arsenal.playing us off the park in 2007,but we come out with the victory Zamora, with that superb goal..That's how it goes sometimes mate.

Moyes has been found out.

Last week Pep picked a team to 'counter our counter attack'. Would Moyes have the nous to think of something like that ?

While most of the other teams in the PL evolve, we don't. Up until covid the old model just about held firm and clubs like Burnley were lauded as the way to survive having a basic game plan. They're now in the Championship.

We won't be relegated. We have too many good players for that although the team Roeder took down had good players too but the clock's ticking for the lemur. It doesn't help that he has to work for two miserly shitcunts but it is what it is.

He doesn't Joe.

He's as good as we're going to get under the porn twins but he's now one of the few 'old school' managers surviving. Bruce and Mark Hughes manage lower down with other relics like Dyche and Pulis unemployed.

He does what he does to the best of his ability but his stubborn streak of putting faith in completely out of form players in the hope they'll come good and his woeful use of substitutes often trumps his undoubted ability of building team spirit.
