That said……. I’m very much in the neutral camp regarding DG
I neither think him as a saviour and servant nor an exploiter.
Of course he made money but so do all owners (or at least that’s the objective).
Our operational woes I lay blame at the feet of the Welsh midget.
So, I just look on DG as an old man from the East End who supported West Ham. Whilst I won’t raise a glass to his contribution to the football club as a co-owner, I will raise a glass to him as a person from my dad’s generation & backyard and as a lifelong supporter.
Whatever anyone’s thoughts are on DG, I always think it’s sad when a West Ham fan from that generation leaves us. Just feels like it’s a little piece of our history departing with them.
