Manuel Pellegrini and the rest of his staff have recently made their intentions clear that they are keen on signing Felipe Anderson no matter what, courtesy of ExWHUEmployee.
Pellegrini was told that once he arrived, he would have more say over transfers and the appointment of a new Director of Football Mario Husillos certainly made that clear, but there have been a few complications that has delayed this.
It now appears that David Sullivan is going to take a step back starting on Monday, and much of our transfer procedures will be dealt with by Husillos and Pellegrini.
The interest in Felipe Anderson has been dragging for quite a while now, and it still remains uncertain as to whether we will see him in claret and blue shirt next season.
ExWHUEmployee, a very reliable source, recently tweeted: “Husillos is taking over the [Anderson] deal as his first major job”
“Pellegrini has made it clear that he definitely wants Anderson no matter what, so let’s see what happens next.”
The Brazilian winger currently plays for Lazio, and is someone we have been trying to sign for a while now, but Lazio’s president appears to be playing hard ball.
He is only 25 years old, which means he should hit his peak very soon, so it is definitely a signing to get excited about if we can get it over the line.
Pellegrini is a top manager, and if he is persisting with Anderson, we should remain patient and trust that he is making the right decision.
It would be a fantastic signing in my eyes. We have made some good signings so far, but with the absence of Manu Lanzini for a large chunk of next season, it is crucial we recruit attacking players as well as bolstering our defence.

Felipe Anderson appears keen to join us, and wages are not the problem, it is agreeing the fee that is halting the move from happening.
For those who understand betting odds, Anderson was at one point 1/8 to join us, via Sky Bet. That has now changed to 2/5, so it by no means a “done deal”.
