Vlašić deal_West Ham_Torino_Transfer_Serie ANikola Vlašić deal has taken a turn for the worse

West Ham’s Nikola Vlašić is currently on loan at Torino and it’s not still clear where he’ll play next season. However the Vlašić deal seems to be going from bad to worse. The Italian club are seemingly trying to pull the Hammers pants down by insisting on a lower fee.

Torino have a €13m purchase option on the Croatian. Two days ago, the Italian media reported the Serie A club now want to sign him for less than €9m.

Vlasic deal has not gone well for West Ham

Another report from Tutto Sport now states ‘West Ham’s response is awaited’ for the Turin club to make a decision on the 25-year-old. Quite what they’re waiting for is uncertain because a price had already been agreed. The Hammers are already subsidising huge losses following Vlašić’s move from Russia for £28M. Any further reduction is surely too much and West Ham would probably be better recalling him.

Moyes mucked up

Manager David Moyes must take much of the blame for the botched transfer. The Irons manager failed to give Vlasic a fair chance having spent a small fortune on the bloke.

The Italian media are reporting the Croatia international, has no intention of going back to West Ham after his struggles last season. Whether this is dependant of Moyes’s future remains to be seen. However it’s clear that Torino are using the situation to lower the price.

It’s claimed the David Sullivan is aware of Torinio’s request. He has ‘asked for a little more time’ to give a response.

Menacingly the report says. “If West Ham refuse to give discounts or extend their loan deal, then Torino would have to make a decision on the player”

Tuttosport end their report by stating: ‘But West Ham are not sleeping, they too keep their antennas straight. They will be able to try to sell Vlašić to other clubs, just in case, trying to keep the price up better.’

Personally I’d tell them where to stick their antenna. . . A deal’s a deal right?

West Ham fan for as long as I can remember. I was flukey enough to watch The Irons beat Bury 10-0 in my first ever game . . . True to form, West Ham then went out and signed their central defender 😬
