West Ham take on Winterthur in their first pre-season friendly in Switzerland. This is Manuel Pellegrini’s first game in charge. Today we could see new signings Ryan Fredericks and Issa Diop make their first appearance in claret and blue. We could also see appearances from youngsters Martin Samuelson, Marcus Browne, Nathan Holland and Nathan Trott who have all joined the squad in Switzerland.
West Ham will be without three world cup players Javier Hernandez, Cheikhou Kouyate and new signing Lukasz Fabianski. Also Marko Arnautovic will not be involved today as he has been given extended leave because he was involved in friendlies for his country prior to the world cup.
