The Moyes era has now begun and the hammers got off to a losing start, at the hands of Watford at Vicarage Road in a slumping 2-0 loss. Goals from Hughes and Brazilian wonderkid Richarlison, has many fans questioning the players mental strength, and there attitude towards putting on the claret and blue and taking to the pitch and giving 110% for the fans and the club.

As West Ham fans all we ask of the players is to give 110%, show some passion and get stuck in, and we will back you for the 90 minutes.

The cause for concern is, after the hammers poor start to the season, and a change of manager, there has been no reaction, or urge to really prove all the critics wrong, and with the East London side in 18th place in the Premier League the fans are worrying, and so should they as they would expect better from a West Ham team who were on the realms of Europe a couple of seasons ago, how times can change!

My view

Coming into this season I was really optimistic we could get a new improved squad and really have a push for the top 8, but it has gone the complete opposite!

It always looked a poison chalice as Bilic came into the season on the final year of his contract, being under a lot of pressure. We have a good squad with a promising starting 11with the likes of Lanzini, Antonio, Hart, Hernandez, we really could go on about what sorts of quality we have but that hasn’t been shown and in my personal opinion it’s because they have not been playing for Slav meaning he is in a lose, lose situation.

I think we have a good team, that can do well, and baring in mind we were very short in terms of players against Watford it gives me big hope going into our home fixture on Friday night against Leicester City. But I do think they have to show a big reaction and be counted for because some of the players this year have been rotten to the core in terms of commitment and playing levels.

3 Players who need to sort themselves out

Cheikhou Kouyate

This man can be a man mountain at times, and can be a real threat running at players, and using his strength, but this season he has been very poor, showing no technical ability and has been overall sloppy in midfield with no energy! Which is his main attribute. Sort it out Cheikh!

Andy Carroll

Probably the worst of the lot this season, normally one of my favorite players has been a shadow of himself, compared to what he’s been the past 18 months. He can’t seem to win headers, he has been very aggressive and angry on the pitch, he’s been sent off away at Burnley and also took a dig out at the fans too! Sort it out big AC!

Pedro Obiang

For me this man was our hammer of they year, last season, but was snipped by Michail Antonio. Last season he was brilliant at breaking up play, passing the ball, moving about, this season he can’t string a pass, it seems like he’s stuck in the mud and he’s been getting the run around! Sort it out Obi!

West Ham fan for as long as I can remember. I was flukey enough to watch The Irons beat Bury 10-0 in my first ever game . . . True to form, West Ham then went out and signed their central defender 😬
