Summer signing Pablo Fornals scored an 89th minute winner for Spain against Belgium in the Under-21 European Championships.
The 23-year-old started the match as a substitute, but with the scores level at half-time, the Spaniard was introduced, and ultimately, made the decisive difference.
Fornals signed from Villarreal in a deal worth £24 million and this tournament is the first chance for Hammers to see their new signing in action.
Fornals came on with 45 minutes to play and slotted into the ‘number 10’ position behind Borja Mayoral and Daniel Olmo.
Within his first 20 minutes on the pitch, Spain were looking more dangerous and posed a serious threat. Fornals himself had a couple of efforts, but both were comfortably saved by Ortwin De Wolf.
However, with the scores level at 1-1 and just one-minute left of normal time, Fornals picked up the ball and drove towards goal before unleashing an unstoppable strike from the edge of the box.

The goal sealed three huge points for Spain in their quest to get out of the group stages and into the knockout stages.
