Felipe Anderson scored his third goal in two games to rescue a point for the Hammers at The John Smith’s Stadium.

Alex Pritchard opened the scoring for the home side, but Anderson levelled fifteen minutes from time to prevent Huddersfield from earning back-to-back wins in the Premier League.

It was an eventful start to proceedings, as Lukasz Fabianski pulled off a wonderful save from Steve Mounie’s header two minutes in.

Marko Arnautovic squandered an excellent chance just moments later, finding himself one-on-one with Jonas Lossl, but his effort was tipped wide of the post.

Huddersfield took the lead on seven minutes when West Ham gave the ball away in their own half, which Pritchard latched onto and slotted the ball past Fabianski from outside the box.

A lackadaisical first half performance from the visitors, who struggled to create any chances for themselves as Huddersfield stood strong.

The Hammers came out second half and instantly could have been level. Javier Hernandez came on at half-time, almost making an immediate impact, but his header from inside the box looped over the bar.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side found themselves level with fifteen minutes to play. The ball fell to Felipe Anderson inside the area, who calmly guided his effort into the top right-hand corner.

West Ham almost snatched a winner with 80 minutes gone, but Issa Diop’s header was headed off the line by Aaron Mooy.

The game finished 1-1, which sees Huddersfield drop to 19th and keeps the Hammers 13th.

West Ham fan for as long as I can remember. I was flukey enough to watch The Irons beat Bury 10-0 in my first ever game . . . True to form, West Ham then went out and signed their central defender 😬
