West Ham skipper Mark Noble has been rewarded with a contract extension which will keep him at the club until 2021.

Noble, known as ‘Mr. West Ham’ has been pivotal to the Hammers’ recent run of form – since returning from suspension, he has started and performed fantastically in three wins from three.

The English midfielder has always kept his spot in the starting XI under a variety of different managers, which says a lot about Noble, not just as a fantastic captain, but is also a credit to his footballing ability.

The 31-year-old made his debut for the Hammers all the way back in August 2004 at the age of just 17, as West Ham ran out as 2-0 winners against Southend United in the League Cup.

Since his debut, Noble has scored 45 goals in almost 400 appearances, and must be one of the best penalty takers in the Premier League.

Earlier today, West Ham United’s official Twitter account announced the extension for Noble: “The Club are delighted to announce that we have taken up the option to extend Mark Noble’s contract to 2021.

“There’s only one #MrWestHam.”

With the likes of Declan Rice still awaiting an improved contract, this is a little bit of a surprise, but it is excellent news and fans should be delighted to see Noble earn this extension.

West Ham fan for as long as I can remember. I was flukey enough to watch The Irons beat Bury 10-0 in my first ever game . . . True to form, West Ham then went out and signed their central defender 😬
