Jack Wilshere, 26, has revealed that there has been recent contact with West Ham over a possible move across London.

Wilshere has been at Arsenal for a large part of his footballing career, but is now a free agent as he decided to part ways and look for a new challenge, which could potentially be with us.

It’s no surprise that the Wilshere to West Ham rumour has circulated round once again, but it seems like there is more substance this time.

Jack is a West Ham fan, and always has been. He is desperate to join us and would rather stay in England than go abroad, with Fenerbahce offering him £130k per week to join the Turkish side, as per ExWHUEmployee.

According to EXWHUEmployee, Wilshere has held talks with us, and the deal seems to be edging closer.

To me, this would be an excellent move for both parties. For Wilshere, he needs to move to a team where he is going to get first team football, and we can offer that.

However, his injury record speaks for itself and given our track record, he would get injured in his first game for us!

Manuel Pellegrini likes to play attacking football, and we currently lack a ball playing central midfield player that can carry the ball forwards, and I feel as though Wilshere can offer that.

As things stand, I would say that Wilshere is, currently, most likely to be our fourth signing of the summer, and to keep a close eye on this over the next few days.

Transfers are ever changing, and Jack Wilshere is now 1/7 to join West Ham with SkyBet.

Make of that what you will, and there are certainly mixed opinions about this potential signing.

There is no denying Wilshere’s quality, it’s whether he can find consistent form and improve his contribution in the final third, and if Pellegrini can get that out of him, we will have a fantastic player on our hands.

West Ham fan for as long as I can remember. I was flukey enough to watch The Irons beat Bury 10-0 in my first ever game . . . True to form, West Ham then went out and signed their central defender 😬
